How many square feet of solar panels does it take to power my 3,000 sq. ft. home?

As a general rule it takes 300-400 sq/ft of panel area for a home that size.
However the only exact way to answer the question is to analyze your power bill. This will allow us to design a properly sized solar electric system for you. Is solar going to get cheaper?

A: John, now is the time to buy a solar energy system and I’m not just saying that because that’s how I make my living. The prices for product are the lowest we’ve seen. We expect prices to rise after the excess inventory is used up. The extra inventory was caused by the world economy slowdown and this caused a lot of product to go into inventory. Once it is used up, the numbers will go up, it’s a simple supply/demand market situation.
